Practice on real cases. Prep for NAVLE. Study with your cohort.
A real anonymized case library so you walk into rotations having seen the pattern before. NAVLE-style question banks tied to your syllabus. Searchable study-group rooms that actually work. Credentials your future state board can verify cryptographically — your record outlives any platform.
Browse the Case LibraryWhat a vet student actually gets
Six features that make veterinary school workflows easier — not more screen time.
Real cases before you see them on the floor
Curated anonymized cases from actual veterinary practice — medical events, vet visits, shelter intakes. You diagnose, propose differentials, write a treatment plan, and get rubric-scored on your clinical reasoning. The signalment is real, the history is real, the exam findings are real. Walk into rotations having seen the pattern before.
Board-exam prep tied to your syllabus
NAVLE-style question banks with explanations grounded in the lectures and references your instructor assigned — not generic test prep. A board-exam prep pathway drills what you missed, not what every other student missed. Question history persists so you can re-test your weak areas.
Ask any course a question and get a syllabus-grounded answer
Stuck at 2 AM? Ask the course. Answers come from the lectures, readings, and references your instructor assigned — not the open internet, not a guessing chatbot. Conversation history persists. If your school restricts smart-tutor use during graded work, your instructor can disable it on that course or assessment.
The system shows you what to drill next
After each quiz, the recommender looks at what you got wrong and surfaces the right next module — review if you struggled, continue if you nailed it, or pivot to a related concept where your performance suggests a gap. Manual override anytime.
Persistent study-group rooms that actually have search
Every cohort gets a searchable room. Cross-device. Optional end-to-end encryption. No more "what did Dr. So-and-so say about renal values in week 4?" — just search the room. Threaded conversations, private DMs, push notifications for the stuff that matters.
Find classmates studying the same module right now
Opt in to the study-buddy directory and find other students actively working on the same course or module. Filter by school, course code, module, year-of-study, time zone, and preferred study format (live video / async chat / in-person if same campus). Privacy-first — you only see other opted-in students and only show up if you're opted in. Connect, start a 2-person cohort room, study together. No more "anybody else in Theriogenology rn?" posted into the void.
Your record outlives any platform
Every competency, every clinical rotation sign-off, every passing skill assessment lands in your credit ledger as a W3C Verifiable Credential signed by your institution. Switch states, switch employers, take a board exam — your transcript is yours, cryptographically signed, and verifiable by any state board.

Frequently asked questions
Real questions from real students. If yours isn't here, email us.
How is this different from Canvas at my vet school?
Canvas is a generic LMS that works for K-12 through higher ed. urVetEdu is built specifically for veterinary medicine — case library, vet-specific accreditation, W3C credentials, course-aware Q&A with full course awareness, platform-native proctored exams. Many vet colleges run both: Canvas for the institution, urVetEdu for the vet college specifically.
Are my case attempts visible to professors?
Yes — your case attempts are visible to the instructor of any course you submit them within, plus the institution admin if your institution is a tenant. Outside that scope they're private. Anonymous attempt mode (for self-study without an instructor watching) is on the roadmap.
Can I use the course-aware Q&A during a graded assessment?
That depends on your school and your instructor. Each course has a tutor mode set by the instructor: Open (answers any question), Socratic (asks guiding questions instead of giving direct answers), or Off (disabled). The mode is shown clearly at the top of each course before you type. The default during proctored exams and timed assessments is Off. Your conversation history is private to you by default, but instructors can opt a course in to integrity review — when they do, a banner appears before you type. We will not deliberately surface answers to your scheduled exam questions, and academic-integrity policy is set by your institution, not by us.
What about my privacy?
Your case attempts, conversation history with the course-aware Q&A, and credit ledger are private to you + your instructors + your institution admin. Nothing is shared cross-institution unless you explicitly issue a W3C credential and give the verification URL to a third party. Conversation history with the tutor is stored as adaptive_signals rows that drive the next-module engine — you can request deletion at any time.
Will my credits transfer if I switch vet schools?
Credit transfer between institutions runs on the recognition graph. If your destination institution has a recognition mapping with your origin institution (and most vet colleges do, especially within AVMA COE-accredited programs), the transfer is automatic. If not, the W3C VC verification URL gives the destination school everything they need to make a manual decision in seconds.
How much does urVetEdu cost as a student?
Most institutional tenants include urVetEdu access in tuition. If you're using urVetEdu as a self-paying individual learner, course pricing varies by instructor — many courses are free, most are in the $25–$200 range. We never charge a subscription for individual learners.
